The health benefits of Zumba® and Clubbercise®

In conjunction with a healthy diet, doctors recommend exercising to maintain the health and strength of our bodies. During the spring and summer, walking is the most popular workout routine (6000 to 10000 steps per day), but the cold winter temperatures can make this activity impossible.

The practice of dancing is also recommended for all ages. It has many benefits, some of which relate to physical activity, while others relate to mental health or well-being. [1]

Among the physical benefits of dance and aerobics, such as Zumba and Clubbercise, are the movements that are performed by the entire body. This workout will give you a full-body workout without feeling like a workout. As a result, you burn calories (and fat). About 400 - 600 calories are consumed, which is more than the recommended 300 calories per day[2]. Studies have shown that aerobic dance has positive effects on cardiovascular health (reduced high blood pressure and cholesterol, for example), body composition, quality of life, and pain relief.

It is important to emphasize that prior dance experience is not required in order to participate in Zumba. Exercise intensity can be adjusted according to the individual. You move to the music beat. It is a workout that anyone can perform at their own level of intensity[4] with options for both high and low impact to suit all fitness levels.

Additionally, one of the most important benefits is that it is social in nature

Since these classes are group activities, you will essentially be participating in a social situation at all times. Fitness classes for groups exude positivity and serve as a welcome invitation for people of all ages, skills levels, and backgrounds to come together in one inclusive event to move with passion and intention, all without judgment or expectations.

Exercise should be combined with a healthy diet. Here are some tips for those who would like to make a small change in their dairy intake:

Consume whole grains such as quinoa, brown rice, and oats on a daily basis.

Avoid empty carbohydrates such as white bread, pasta, and cookies.

You should consume plenty of lean protein, such as chicken, fish, egg whites, and tofu.

Every meal should include fruits and vegetables.

Eating five meals a day will keep you energized.  Choose healthy snacks. As an example, an apple with nut butter and string cheese can help you feel energized without consuming many empty calories.

Prior to taking a class, you should consult your physician if you suffer from any disease. A medical history should be requested prior to booking. It will be reviewed by your instructor and you will be advised accordingly. During this event, you will have the opportunity to dance and have fun in a safe environment.

Are you ready to dance?
